Effective vocabulary learning
Vocabulary study is easier to sustain when you regularly review a manageable amount, rather than trying to learn everything at once. Here are some ways to approach studying with the app.

Choose a manageable number of new cards
Adding many cards at once can lead to a sudden increase in reviews. Set your daily new card limit to a number you can comfortably handle every day. You can change it under “Study settings” in “Settings & guide”.
This limit is counted across all decks, separately for each card direction. If you reach the limit while unstudied cards remain, the deck screen and “Choose a review” screen show “Today’s new card limit (N cards) has been reached”, or the equivalent message for back → front. The remaining new cards will appear tomorrow or later.
Recall the answer before checking it
Try to remember the answer before revealing it. Making an effort to recall it helps you distinguish words you know from those you are less sure about.
Study in short sessions
A little study every day can be easier to fit into your routine than occasional long sessions. Even when you have only a few spare minutes, try to keep reviewing regularly.
Use mistakes to guide your next review
An incorrect answer provides information for adjusting when to review the word again. The app uses your answers to schedule future reviews. Words you get wrong will appear sooner.
